Caribbean Radio Lighthouse was established on the suggestions of Pastors and Missionaries, the Lord led, Dr. Tom Freeney, General Director of Baptist International Missions, Inc in 1972. Then the work to establish a radio was started, and finally, on 7 September 1975 CRL was established. It broadcasts in Antigua(Caribbean). The CRL has a frequency of 92.3 MHz FM.
Significance of the Name:
The name of the FM is “Caribean radio Lighthouse.” As light has abstract and spiritual aspects, the radio has as well. Also, the radio directs us spiritually and makes us to take the right steps. It tries to show the ‘Bible’s significance and helps to find Jesus Christ spiritually by its lighthouse.
Format of Caribbean Radio Lighthouse:
It airs Christian talks, Bible verses and translates their meanings and tells their significance, science programs, Sermons, captivating Christian drama, spiritual gospel music, News updates, children programs, etc. It is always open and broadcasts for 24 hours throughout the week.
Main Features:
The broadcast of the radio reaches up to 2 million people. About 20 islands listen to it. The CRL focuses on God and shows the significance of religion in human life. The CRL bends the personality of an individual religiously and spiritually. It airs its programs not only in the English language but also in the Spanish language since 2001. Whosoever is in search of the knowledge of religion would find CRL the best platform to learn. People of every age of Christian religion can listen to this radio.
The CRL helps people to make unity among them and to strengthen their relationship with God in this materialistic world. CRL has an organization named “BIMI.” The organization was established to help Missionaries from the whole world. The CRL also serves its audience by playing live streaming on its official website. Programing:
92.3 FM airs its programs in English as well as in Spanish language but at different times. The CRL English programming happens from 9 am to 9 pm, and its Spanish broadcast starts at 9 pm and ends at 9 am throughout the week. It broadcasts hundreds of short programs.
