About Hope 103.2
The station on-aired its first programs on 5 March 1979 as the first Christian radio station of Australia. It was initially known as 2CBA FM 103.2. The station operated the format of easy listening music along with the preaching of Christian news and messages. Some of the famous played music are James Last, Eric Jupp, Richard Clayderman, and Klaus Wunderlich. Besides this, the station also played hit music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Rev Vernon Turner is the founder of this station.
It began to be known as WSFM, but it was renamed the current one with a tag line in 2002. The station shifted its studio from Five Dock to the current location (Seven Hills). In December, it became famous with the name Heart 103.2 because of its tagline. Macquarie Regional Radio’s works objected to using their generic name ‘Heart.’ Therefore, the station was named Sydney’s 1032 in 2008. In December 2008, the station was renamed as the current one. The listeners considered it to be most appropriate and popular.
