106.9 Maurice (CKOB FM) is a Canadian radio station broadcasting French language transmission from Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Its owner is Cogeco. As a Class C1 station, it uses a directional antenna to broadcast on 106.9 MHz with an average adequate radiated power of 59,000 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 100,000 watts. On August 20, 2007, it switched from the AM band’s 550 kHz to the FM band. One of the few full-time FM talk channels in North America that broadcast in stereo is the station that goes by the call letter 106,9 FM. On October 17, 1937, CKOB started on the air as CHLN, an AM station. Its first frequency was 1420 kHz; it shifted to 1450 in 1941 and again to 550 in 1945.106.9 Maurice Radio provides talk, news, economy, interviews, and sports programs.
