96.9 CKOI is a Canadian radio station broadcasting from Verdun, Quebec, serving the Greater Montreal area. The station airs a CHR/Top 40 radio format. Radio operates under Cogeco’s management and manages its sister channels, CHMP FM, CKAC, CFGL FM, and CKBE FM. It uses an omnidirectional antenna and transmits 148,000 watts of power as a class C1 station.

Moreover, it is one of the FM stations with the highest power in North America. The station studios are at Place Bonaventure. On December 6, 1976, the channel went on-air as CKVL FM. Its call sign meaning is CKOI is a homonym of “C’est quoi?” meaning “What is it?”. It airs its programming in the French language for 24 hours through live streaming on the radio’s website worldwide.
