CBI (Cape Breton Island) is a Canadian broadcasting radio station, the CBC Radio One affiliate in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Canadian Broadcasting Corporation owned it along with its sister station CBI FM. The station began its transmission for the first time on November 1, 1948. It is branded as “CBC Radio One.” FM using 1140 kHz frequency on the AM dial with the 10,000 watts power. Its broadcasting format consists of public broadcasting, local news, information, current affairs, talk shows, entertainment, and music. CBS Radio One Sydney airs 24 hours transmission on the internet around the world through live broadcasting.
