The station began transmission by North Superior Broadcasting in 1982. Later, Dougall Media acquired the station in 2002. It has a license to serve Marathon, Greenstone, Nipigon, and White River. FM sister stations are CKPR FM, CJSD FM, CKPR DT, and CHFD DT. It is the source of local news, sports, weather, events, and everything. The channel is also one stop for great music and what’s happening in the region.
