Chat FM is a country music radio format-based Canadian radio station located in Medicine Hat, Alberta. The station’s owner is Jim Pattison Group. Chat FM 94.5 also has a sister station named CFMY.
About CHAT 94.5 FM
The station commenced its broadcasting in 1946 on the frequency of 1270 at AM band. Chat FM 94.5 was a member of CBC Radio Dominion Network. However, in 1962, the authorities dissolved the network. Thus, it affiliated itself with the main CBC Radio Network. In 1994, it withdrew its membership. In 2006, it switched to FM band while reserving the current frequency.
