CJAD 800

CJAD 800 is a commercial broadcasting radio station airing live transmission from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its radio format is an English-language news/talk radio format and identifies itself as CJAD 800. Bell Media is the station’s owner and manages its sister stations, CFCF DT, CHOM FM, CJFM FM, CKGM, CITE FM, CKMF FM, and CFJP DT. Its daytime broadcasting power is 50,000 watts, and at night it reduces to 10,000 watts power to avoid interfering with other channels on AM 800.

The station offices are at Rene-Levesque Boulevard East in Downtown Montreal, and the transmitter is near Saint-Edouard. Listeners can also hear radio transmission across Canada via Bell Satellite TV channel 953. For many years, the channel was affiliated with CBS Radio, and in 2018, it switched to NBC Radio and 24/7 News for U.S. and international news. It officially started transmission on December 8, 1945. In addition, the station broadcasts sports, business, community talks, live shows, and entertainment. Its broadcasting frequency is 800 kHz on the AM band.
