K1037 Radio (CKRK) is a community radio station in Canada licensed to serve Kahnawake since FM started eight operations on March 31, 1981. Its mission is to be an information hub for Kahnawake and Montreal area. The station broadcasts on 103.7 MHz with a radiated power of 250 watts and uses an omnidirectional antenna. On March 30, 1981, it went on air as a class A1 station on 103.5 frequency. In 1996, it flipped to its current frequency. Formerly, it had a country music format and switched to an adult contemporary format. In addition, radio has broadcast live play-by-play coverage of Kahnawake hockey and lacrosse matches throughout the season.
The radio station’s popularity started to expand in the middle of 2019 when it began playing a Hot AC format that was primarily 80s and 90s music. According to Stats Radio, K1037 reached a daily peak of 42,000 listeners during the Pandemic of 2020. Currently, the station averages 28,000 listeners daily (weekdays). Its broadcasting lineup includes music, entertainment, information, news, sports, live events, talk shows, and discuss current hot topics. The station airs 24 hours transmission on the FM band via live streaming on the internet worldwide.
