Newstalk 610 CKTB is a class B broadcasting radio station based in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The meanings of its callsign are CK Taylor and Bate. Taylor and Bate Brewery were the former owners of the station. The station takes the responsibility to air the News Talk format. Therefore, its branding name is Newstalk 610. Airing at 610 AM, it broadcasts from the palace of William Hamilton Merritt. Niagara Region, Hamilton, Mississauga, and Toronto are the Broadcasting regions. Edward T. Sandell established the network in 1930.
The network started the transmission using 1120 frequency on AM dial. In the daytime, it consumes 10,000 watts and, in the nighttime, it uses 5,000 watts power. The transmitters of the station are set on Grassy Brook Road east of Port Robinson. CHRE-FM and CHTZ-FM are the sister stations of the channel. It has the affiliation of the iHeartRadio network. Two other networks, Bell Media Radio, and Toronto Maple Leafs are also connected with the station.
History of Newstalk 610 CKTB:
Launching the station in 1930, Edward T. Sandell owned it. After the death of Sandell in 1943, Niagara District Broadcasting purchased the station. It was an NDB company that introduced 610 FM in 1949. In 1980, Standard Broadcasting acquired the channel. In 1997, Affinity Radio Group purchased it from Standard. Telemedia acquired it in 2000, and became its owner. In 2002, Standard again purchased it from Telemedia. Standard sold it to Astral Media in October 2007. In July 201, Bell Media became its owner and manager.

It chooses the English language for communication in programming. This station airs 24 hours a day programming throughout the week.
