Proud FM is a commercial broadcasting radio station airing live transmission from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It plays a Hot AC/CHR format with a focus on the local LGBT community and is owned by Evanov Communications. CIDC FM, CHLO, and CKDX FM are its sister stations. Launched on April 16, 2007, it was the first commercial terrestrial radio station worldwide to target an LGBT audience explicitly. It was also the first radio channel to do so in Canada. It is one of the six Toronto radio stations that provide information to the Nielsen BDS Canadian Top 40 airplay panel.
The CIRR studios, which were formerly in the Church and Wellesley neighborhood of Toronto, are now situated on Dundas Street West in the Eatonville district. Its transmitter is atop the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street West in downtown Toronto across from Toronto City Hall. It is on-air 24 hours of transmission on 103.9 MHz frequency on the FM stereo. It broadcasts news, sports shows, stories, information, entertainment, and music through live streaming worldwide on the internet.
