Rythme 98.3

Rythme 98.3 (CILM FM) is a French-language radio station broadcasting from Saguenay, Quebec, Canada. As part of the Attraction Radio network, FM carries an adult contemporary format. The station broadcasts at 98.3 MHz frequency and uses a directional antenna. The station uses the slogan “Le mix parfait de Saguenay.” Its effective broadcasting power is 51,000 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 100,000 watts (class C1). Radio was heard on 590 kHz on the AM band before 2007 as a class B station with a daytime power of 25,000 watts and a nighttime power of 7,500 watts. It was part of the Corus Québec (formerly Radiomédia) network.

Corus agreed to sell CKRS-FM to a local business group known as Radio Saguenay on June 25, 2010. CRTC approved this agreement on March 1, 2011. The same year, it moved to mainstream rock while retaining its talk programming. Attraction Radio purchased it in 2012 and rebranded it as “CKRS 98,3.”

Furthermore, the station talks and music transmission continued while most of its transmission was networked from Cogeco. In May 2014, CKRS applied to CRTC to reduce spoken word requirements and enable to carry more music-based programming. As a result, CKRS FM and sister channel CKGS FM would join the Rythme FM network and change their call sign to CILM FM starting February 9, 2015. For in-house branding, “O” Attraction Radio dissolved the Rythme FM network affiliation in August 2018.
