All India Radio National channel, which ran from 6 am to 6 a.m., began in 1987. Programs were broadcast in many languages. This channel played an important role in introducing people through national issues. In this channel operated in the night, several types of programs were broadcast in Hindi, Urdu and English languages.
It aimed to broadcast the program for various interested people like factory labourers, farmers, soldiers, drivers, and students. Apart from Mushayre, the classical music program was also the most popular. Access to this channel’s programs was up to 76% of the people calculated in the total population and the area of approximately 64%.

The academy where the training was being provided was Regional Training Academy (RAM). The main where this was being held were Lucknow, Shillong, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad.

History of All India Radio National:
The program that was broadcasted first was done in 1923 by the Club of Radio in Mumbai. This broadcasting service had been formed in 1927 even before Independence. In 1936, it was named as AIR (All India Radio) for online streaming. Today it has more than 200 centres.
