About Heart FM West Midlands

Global Radio acquires the station and controls it. Its primary objective is to engage listeners of age 25 to 44. It begins airing its transmission first time in 1994 under the call name of Heart FM 100.7. Thus, it became 3rd maverick local radio outlet in the UK. It was auctioned off to Global Radio in 2007. Idents and jingles were merged to Heart 100.7 in 2006 for 1st time. Supplementary to this, it carries its ally radio station Heat 106.2 FM, in London.

Heart started airing radio transmissions in West Midlands in 1994 under the brand name 100.7 Heart FM. The first-ever radio transmission carried on 100.7 Heart FM was of a song named Something Got Me Started.

The work studio of Heart West Midlands was located in Broad St. 111. Global carries its transmissions from Heart West Midlands FM 100.7. It has its transmitter set-ups mutually located with Capital Birmingham and Smooth West Midlands studios.
