KBIG MYFM 104.3 is a commercial radio located in Los Angeles and owned by iHeartMedia. People of the greater Los Angeles area have been listening for the modern adult contemporary from this station for over two decades now. With its main transmitter located on Mount Wilson and the studies based in Burbank, the station meets a lot of competition from its rivals with the same coverage. It has, however, stood out from the competition and made a significant impact on the listeners over the years. In its early years, KBIG began as the Catalina Island Station on the coast of California. John H. Poole was responsible for its coverage in the Santa Barbara and San Diego regions. There is a large audience in Los Angeles, which is ever-growing too. Its unique island theme combined with a variety of music, commercials, and regular commercials made it reliable. Music Format Of 104.3 MYFM KBIG Radio Los Angeles:
By 1959, the station had begun simulcasting using 104.3 FM, which was the limited option. After the launch, the fame rose thanks to the beautiful music format. This revolution of music meant that the songs of the 60s were dropped in favor of the modern style of playing. By 1995, there was stiff competition in the new approach and format of playing the music. The new owner, Bonneville International brought a new nationwide exchange involving chancellor communications, which went for over $740 million.
Mainstream Format
The swap meant that KBIG-FM mixed country music-formats in KZLA 93.9. Later, at the end of the century, the re-launch of the new KBIG 104 meant that the staff were replaced and switched back to AC as the mainstream format. The merging of KOST and KFI meant that AMFM owned KOST and a mixture of gold, pop, and uptempo AC became part of the radio.
iHeartMedia bought the entire merger. At the time, they went by the name Clear Channel Communications. It installed a young director, David Denes at only 28 years to direct the changes into the radio station.
Famous Programs
David Denes was the program director when the new and famous jingles and top of hour IDs emerged. The era for time zone announcements was over. Among the favorite programs was the Morning drive by Charlie Tuna or Casey Kasem. Another famous program voted as top on the list is the countdown show for hot AC stations. On Sunday morning the program called the American Top 20 became a popular gospel music approach to Los Angeles listeners.

They embraced the change and were ready to move into more modern music and creative ideas.
