On September 17, 1948, KLAC included TV and known as KLAC-TV. Copley Press bought this KLAC-TV in 1953 and renamed KCOP-TV. In 1948, it started to run on the FM band. Officially, the channel airs on March 7, 1961, on the AM band. Metromedia bought KLAC-AM-FM in 1963. Malrite took charge of KLAC that remained until 1993. In 2000, AMFM Inc united with Clear Channel Communications. In 2016, it named as iHeartMedia.
