KKBT 104.7 – The Beat was owned by Gray Sword and family famous as Showers of blessings. The station was known firstly as “KHJP” for one year from 1998 to 1999. And after this, the FCC gave it call signs “KNWJ” for 20 years from 1999 to 2019. On 20 February 2019, Contemporary Communications LLC bought this radio. So it was given call signs “KKBT.” Its slogan is “Samoa’s #1 for hip hop and R&B”. The station serves the people of Leone, American Samoa. Larry Fuss owns the Contemporary Communications LLC and South Seas Broadcasting Inc and manages their broadcasting.
