This radio station began its transmission first time as WPAG-FM on August 13, 1947. At that time, Green Bay Press-Gazette owned this channel. Later on, it began its affiliation with WBAY radio that runs on 1360 Frequency on the AM band and WBAY-TV. Then this radio station moved to WBAY-FM. Midwest Communications began to run these channels. On September 1, 1975, the call letters of WBAY-AM changed to WBGG and WBAY-FM moved to WIXX.
