History:
This radio station began its transmission on May 4, 1922, as WCX. At that time, Detroit Free Press, a newspaper, owns this channel. It utilized 580 kHz frequency for its programming. On December 16, 1928, the offices of this station moved to Fisher Building. In 1929, this channel went in the hands of Goodwill Stations, Inc and known as “The Goodwill Station”.
On March 29, 1941, it began to use 760 kHz frequency. CBS took the responsibility of this channel on September 29, 1935. In 1964, Capital Cities Communications purchased this situation. In January 2006, Citadel broadcasting bought this station. On September 16, 2011, Cumulus began to own this channel.
