Radio Sarabela 98.8 FM

Radio Sarabela is a 17th community radio station airing live from Gaibandha, Bangladesh. It on-air its transmission on 98.8 MHz frequency (FM). FM offers 24 hours transmission in the Bengali language. It designed a unique and interesting program for the audience with the slogan of “Mati o manusher kace.” The program content is based on news, information, entertainment, social messages, and music. FM works hard to bring positive change in society and trying to minimize domestic violence. It also offers opportunities to local persons to show their talent and creativity working as a volunteer. It provides broadcasting on official links worldwide, and listeners participate through social media.

Achievements of Radio Sarabela 98.8 FM:

In 2017 it won an award from Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in the news category for reporting on Child Raping and Its Psycho-social Situation. It received three prizes on the UNICEF’s Meena Media Award for the news and program that were nominated in five categories.
