It was established on 18 March 1971. The purpose behind the establishment introduce a pure entertainment channel for the youth of Indonesia. Its tag line is ” Indonesian no. 1 hit music channel”. All programs are broadcasted in Indonesian. It operates at a frequency of FM 98.4 MHz.

FM is specially designed according to the choice and flavor of young, energetic, and passionate people. The main targeted audience is between 15 to 29 years old, and they call them Prambors youth.
