Shree FM 100

Shree FM is a broadcasting radio station airing live transmissions from Colombo, Sri Lanka. It started its transmission in 1992. It on-air broadcasting by using 100 MHz frequency on the FM band. It is the number radio channel in the country due to its fresh content and hot playlist. The shows are based on current hot topics, information, news, entertainment, and popular music. Sri FM offers transmission in the Sinhala language. FM has online transmission on the official website worldwide. Swarnawahini Media Network is the official media sponsor of Sri Lanka Olympic Team 2020.

Shree FM Programs and History:

In the Beginning, Shree FM started broadcasting as FM99 owned by the company of Colombo Communication LTD (CCL) as the first private radio channel. The key people at that time were Livi Wijemanne. After that, CCL’s ownership was transferred to VANIK INC and changed the FM name to SAWANA RADIO. In 1998, the owners took over by EAP Broadcasting Company and again renamed as Shree FM. In 2007, it was awarded as the People’s Radio Channel and the People’s Youth Radio Channel at the People’s SLIM Awards. Sri FM broadcast island-wide on 100 FM and 100.2 FM.
