Bay FM 99.9 is a community radio station. Byron Shire and beyond it, the coverage areas are the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Volunteers run this station. It aims to serve independently to the community by informing and entertaining on local and global levels.
About Bay FM 99.9
In late 1990, the station welcomed its first broadcast by Top 3 DJ, Soopa Kleen, Fresh Baby, and GeeDay Jack Doff. It started its first broadcasting through digital devices and equipment. Some DJs know as DJ Micheal Kenyon, Gran Kenyon, The Milkshake Brothers, and Guano Thrust stayed persistent. It is based on the slogan ‘Community Radio Serving Byron Shire and Beyond.’ The frequency is 99.9 MHz (FM).

The station features various programs, consisting of a mix of music, information, and entertainment. This content aims to rethink the ideas and aspirations of the community of Byron Shire, explicate the important and current affairs of the same area, and provide information to keep the community positive. Some of the main programs of Bay FM are Live and Local, Bay FM overnight, Blues from the Bay, French Connection, Last Hippie in Byron Bay, Boombastic, Beautiful Voice, and Chopsuey.
