VOX FM 106.9 is an Australian radio station which is based in Wollongong, New South Wales. The coverage area includes the north part (Helensburgh), south part (Gerringong) of Illawarra and Blue Mountains. The format of the station is community access. The content played belongs to different genres, i.e., the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, Jazz, Blues, and Folk. The station is also for ethnic communities. It air-on programming for Bosnian, Chilean, Croatian, Cyprian, Filipino, Irish, Koori, German, Portuguese, Puka Puka, Scottish, Serbian, Sloven, Spanish, Tongan, African, Polish, Turkish, Greek, and Macedonian.
It works as a non-profit organization and receive funds from government grants and various sponsorships and donations. Programming of VOX FM 106.9:
The station’s programming consists of the following main shows: Hamish & Daniel broadcasts an ‘A Word with Daniel’ program every Wednesday at 10 pm. Bobby Little’s & Eric Davies broadcasts every Monday morning from 8-10 am program named as Music Music Music. Les’ show Music Box with Les is also famous as it broadcasts every Saturday night because it introduces independent artists in the show.
