Q107 Toronto is a commercial broadcasting FM radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada airing a mainstream rock radio format. Its original call sign was CILQ FM, and Corus Entertainment owned the channel. Its sister stations are CFIQ, CFNY FM, and CIII DT. The studios are in the Corus Quay building on Dockside Drive in Toronto’s Harbourfront neighborhood. FM The transmitter is atop the CN Tower, with backup facilities at First Canadian Place. It has effective radiated power (ERP) of 40,000 watts.
It officially started broadcasting on May 22, 1977, at 9 AM. Murray McLauchlan’s “Hard Rock Town” was the first song to be played on the station. In addition to being broadcast on Bell Satellite TV channel 954 and Shaw Direct channel 864, CILQ is also accessible via streaming audio. Its broadcasting lineup includes entertainment, information, news, weather report, traffic updates, interviews, talk shows, and music. FM broadcasts 24 hours on the FM band on 107.1 MHz frequency.
