Radio Benziger 107.8

It is a community-based radio station. It came into being on 7th November in 2010. This radio aims to empower the people of Kollam, India. It is playing an important role in improving the quality of people’s life living in the city. The radio’s establishment purpose was to serve local people. One can define radio Benziger as “People’s Radio”. They have won national awards based on their community engagement. The language of its programming is Malayalam. This is the local language of Kalam.

Mission of Radio Benziger 107.8:

Its mission is to uplift the marginalized group of society. Through their programming, they empower the community. All the issues of community are discussed and solved here. Team of Benziger radio is working hard to pave the way to a successful future.

Format:

Every program is specially designed to play a positive role in the development of the community. In their fifteen hours of broadcasting, they provide a platform for local people to interact and gain knowledge, information and can learn skills. The programs represent the true culture and ethics of this community. This radio is a voice for women, youth and labor society.

Programs:

1) kathodu kathoram – 12 pm to 3 pm: In this show, people from different fields of life are invited and ask to share their inspirational stories. This is a motivational show for everyone.
2) Hridaya poorvam: People can get medical tips to keep their heart-healthy. It on-air on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:05 pm.
3) Sindhoora Cheppu: This is a woman special show. In this program, successful ladies participate and share experiences. You can listen it on Monday and Wednesday at 10 am and once at 8 pm.
