Life FM 100.6 is a South African broadcasting radio station registered as a non-profit company. It has no shareholders and investors. It started broadcasting in December 2012. FM had to hire equipment, and the broadcasting range was within a 5 km radius. For the last three years, FM has two equipped studios, the final control center at home, a recording studio, and mobile broadcasting unit. It increases its broadcasting range to a 40 -100 km strong signal subject to the terrain. FM also build its own licensed tower without incurring any debt. It covers Potchefstroom on a second frequency (98.1 FM).
The station’s values are Excellence, Integrity, Consistency, and Passion. Its vision is to spread hope and healing and change the community’s lives through education. It also encourages unity among the Christian community through God’s love and the sacrifice of Jesus that brought restoration and reconciliation. The transmission frequency is 100.6 on the FM band. It features in the English (70%), Afrikaans (20%), and Tswana (10%) language. Its slogan is “Geared by God.” The presenters on the station are twenty-three individuals, and Life FM records all slots. It on-air 24 hours a day and seven days a week. It caters to the worldwide audience via live streaming available on the internet.
