CKLB Radio (CHRR FM) is a Canadian broadcasting radio station owned by the Native Communications Society of the Northwest Territories. The broadcasting license was awarded for serving the Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. It is a class A1 station with a community radio format for the territory’s First Nations population. CKLB 101.9 FM programming is available in most Dene languages and Denesuline, Gwich’in, Tlicho, and the Dehcho and Sahtu languages. The station’s transmission is served to over 30 places from Northern Alberta right up to the coast of the Arctic Ocean.
It is branded as “The Voice of Denendeh.” It has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 234 watts (peak) Horizontal polarization only. Its lineup features are community talk, entertainment shows, health issues, crime shows, environment updates, business and employment opportunities. CKLB 101.9 FM transmits on 101.9 frequencies in the country and reaches a worldwide audience on the internet through live streaming.
