About 2SER 107.3 Radio
Federal Minister of Education, Senator John Carrick, inaugurated the opening of this station on 1 October 1979. To focus on underground dance music, the station began expanding its programming in the middle 1990s because the public of Sydney used to like this genre of music. The station began organizing fund-raising events with the collaboration and support of Cryogenesis, Club Kooky, Elefant Tranks, and Clan Analogue. These events are known as Freaky Loops. The finance of the station faced a downfall in late 2004.
In order to deal with the worst crises, the administration decided to decrease the staff receiving payments. The management reduced the usage of studios, and the content broadcasted on the station was for the older audiences. All of these factors made the policies flexible. In 2005, the authorities issued new programming details. This programming was simply a reallocation of the previous one. Between the years 2003-2005, the station designed its new logo to improve its performance and branding.
