Q93 (WQUE FM) is a Mainstream Urban radio station broadcasting from New Orleans, Louisiana, Canada. iHeartMedia, Inc. is the station’s owner and operates at 93.3 MHz with an ERP of 100 kW. The station’s slogan is”#1 for Hip-Hop & R&B.” Its studios are downtown, and its transmitter is in New Orleans’ Algiers district. Formally it was known as WDSU FM, the FM sister of WDSU TV, until 1971. After that, FM was sold to new owners, who turned it into an adult contemporary format. FM switched to a Top 40/CHR format and adopted the “Q93” handle in the early 1980s.
Moreover, one of the most well-liked stations among young African-Americans in the New Orleans region is WQUE. The station was the home of the Steve Harvey Morning Show from 2006 to 2014, which now airs on sister WYLD FM. In addition, FM became the home of The Breakfast Club in January 2014.
