CBI FM (Cape Breton Island) is a broadcasting radio station airing live transmissions from Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. CBC Music works under the management of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Its format is public broadcasting. The station is branded as “CBC Music.” It was launched on August 28, 1978, on 105.9 FM. After that, it changed its frequency to 105.1 MHz on the FM band in 1984. FM plays Canadian music scene; Classical and Jazz; Indie, like Alternative Pop, Rock, R&B, and Folk music.
It also provides the best recordings and performances from Canada’s concert halls, studios, clubs, and festival stages. In addition, it broadcast talk shows, news, information, traffic, weather, and stories. The station is a class C channel with an effective radiator power of 61.7 kW average and 100 kW peak (horizontal polarization only). It entertains the worldwide audience on the internet through live transmission.
