Radio AIR Manjeri FM 102.7

Radio AIR Manjeri FM 102.7 is a famous FM in India. The headquarter is in Kerala, India. Now it’s broadcasting area includes Malappuram district, major parts of Kozhikode, Wayanand, Palakkad, Thrissur and Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu. The channel is operated by All India Radio stations. There are approximately 80 lakh listeners of the stations. Broadcasting area of the stations is about 3550 sq Km.

History of Radio AIR Manjeri FM 102.7

First air date of channel was 28 January 2006. E.Ahammed, Former Minister of State for External Affairs, started the channels. In the beginning, it was named as Dreamz FM and started its journey as a part of All India, channel,Kozhikode. Mathew Joseph was the first transmission executive. R.Kanakambaran was the first announcer of the channel.

Format

Initially, the station broadcasts the programs only for 6 hours. Later on in 2013, because of great demand and request of public channel started a 12-hour transmission. On the 11th anniversary of radio stations, it was announced that it would broadcast from 6:30 AM to 1:20 PM. In 2019, it started broadcasting for 17 hours of continuous transmission from 5:53 AM to 11:06 PM.

Programs

The primary target is peoples from minority and Dalit communities. The station transmission broadcast programs like Subhashitham, Prabhatha Geetham, Sakhi Saheli. It broadcast a variety of musical programs based on Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil. It plays a variety of Hindi and Tamil songs. FM also broadcasts Educational bulletins, news and programs for Job Aspirants.
