CFOU FM 89.1 is a university radio station that broadcasts in French. Its objective is to promote musical variety, intellectual exchange, and the advancement of knowledge while maintaining the utmost respect for people from all backgrounds. It serves as a forum for expression for students and residents of the local community. It broadcasts in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. FM is characterized by its difference and independence in addition to being run on a non-profit basis and aiming for a social purpose. Radio plays the widest variety of music in the area, including hard rock, jazz, blues, hip-hop, heavy metal, world music, and electronic music, none aired by the major local stations.
