Plaisir 101,9 (CFDA FM) is a Canadian radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary format in Victoriaville, Quebec. Its original call sign, CFDA FM, is “Canada Français Drummond Arthabaska.” Plaisir 101.9 transmits at 101..9 MHz frequency on the FM stereo. Plaisir 101.9 airs the same programming as CKLD-FM, its sister station in Thetford Mines. Although each station produces a portion of the shared broadcast schedule from a different studio, the stations continuously transmit the same programs. While operating from a single 100-kilowatt transmitter, their CHR sister station CFJO FM delivers programming in both cities.

History of Plaisir 101,9 FM

On October 19, 1951, Radio Victoriaville began broadcasting the station at 1380 AM. It was sold to François Labbé’s Radio-Mégantic in 1970, and from 1972 to 1979, it was a Réseau des Appalaches affiliate of Radio-Canada. Later, in 1999, the station switched to its present FM frequency. Attraction Radio, a Montreal-based company, announced plans to purchase every station owned by Réseau des Appalaches, including CFDA-FM, in April 2014. The decision is now pending CRTC clearance. Early in his career, Pierre Bruneau, the current anchor of TVA’s midday newscasts, worked for CFDA.
