Being an owner, Neal Ardman (NIA broadcasting, Inc.) runs this station. On September 3, 1983, it started its transmission for the first time. Its studios are situated on Pan Am Circle in Tampa. Its transmitter is located on the road near Spring Lake highway in Spring Lake, Florida. It has affiliations of Tampa Bay Buccaneers Radio Network. WMGG, WTMP, and W248CA are its sister stations.
History:
On September 3, 1993, this channel started its transmission as WBSB. Dade City Broadcasting owned this channel. In 2001, Tama Broadcasting took charge of this station and changed its call letters to WTMP-FM. NIA Broadcasting purchased this radio station in 2018. Firstly its brand was known as “La Mexicana 96.1 and 1470”. Later on, it was renamed as “Caliente 96.1 and 1470”.
