About Mix 106.3:
On February 27, 1988, Mix 106.3 Canberra broadcasted its first show under the call name of Kix 106 along with its sister station. It was the first Canberra supplementary FM license of 2CC and commercial radio since 1908. In the 1990s, there was an increasingly huge demand for the music played on FM radio stations. Therefore, ARN and Austereo switched this station onto the FM band.
